Mr. Nicholson has been awarded the professional designation of Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser (CMEA). To earn the designation, Mr. Nicholson underwent intensive study and testing on the approaches to value, appraisal methodologies, as well as a comprehensive study on the ethics and guidelines mandated by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal practice (USpAp). USpAp, promulgated by Congress and the Appraisal Foundation, is the leading authoritative source for appraisals.
A CMEA is committed to preserving the public trust by upholding a Code of Ethics and competency to protect the public from unsubstantiated or questionable machinery and equipment appraisals. A CMEA delivers to the public Ethical obligations, Advocacy only of the Appraisal, Certification, and a Defensible Appraisal that will withstand scrutiny. Business owners, lenders, attorneys, CPAs, and others can expect to receive an accurate, irrefutable, defensible, and descriptive Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraisal Report which follows the standards set forth by USPAP.
